Pedrosa wants more pace

Spain's Dani Pedrosa warned he can go even faster despite setting a lap record and dominating practice at the Malaysian MotoGP.
The Repsol Honda rider led home World Champion Casey Stoner as Honda made a sweep of the top five in practice, with Pedrosa's time of two minutes, 1.250 seconds shaving six tenths of a second off the lap record.

The Spaniard won both practice sessions, outlasting Stoner in the second after they exchanged the lead numerous times, but still was not entirely happy with his bike.

"Today we went pretty fast and consistent even though the track wasn't very clean," Pedrosa said.

"We did a good job in both practice sessions, but I would like to improve a little more on the chassis side to feel more comfortable with the front and choose the right tyre for the race distance."

"At the moment we are doing good steps but we need to keep on working with the same style and try to perform well tomorrow in qualifying. We had a bad qualifying in Australia and we want to be stronger here and do it better."

Third practice gets under way in Sepang on Saturday.
